 Boldings report    12-7-16.

Bob Tromans [Fiery Holes] headed another all ton Monday frame at Boldings Pools this week by tackling peg 49 on the Sycamore Pool with corn, presented at 10 metres and close in to the side, where he found carp to 8lbs, which he used to build a 122-1-0 winning net.

Colin Reynolds [Bilston Ang Cent] finished needing one more carp at peg 32 on the Chestnut, where he had carp to 7lbs and bream to 3lbs on pellet at 6 metres and in the side to weigh 115-4-0. Last Mondays runner Matt Eggerton [Oakengates Ang Cent] picked up third when he scaled 101-4-0 at Chestnut peg 1 to just squeeze in front of last week's winner Tony Foster [PI Boldings] who finished on 100-13-0.

Steve Owen [Monkhall] picked up a win on Wednesday when his  85-9-0 from Sycamore peg 22 proved to be too good for the rest. Steve made his catch using caster, fished  shallow and in the edge to tempt carp 7lbs and bream to 2lbs.

Stuart Aston [Swan] was best on the Oak Pool and second overall with his 64-14-0 from peg 31. He caught carp to 6lbs and barbel to 3lbs on pellet down the side. Third went to the 62-5-0 recorded by Paul Hemming [Monkhall] at Sycamore 16, and Tony Foster picked up another fourth for his 61-5-0 at Sycamore peg 8.

Rob Hancox [B & D Floats] made the first of three frame appearances for the week when he took the main prize on Thursday. Working maggot and pellet to the paddles and close in to the bank at peg 10 on the Chestnut brought in 89-8-0 of carp to 6lbs and barbel to 3lbs for a total of 89-8-0

Only a pound and a half separated the rest of the 'framers', with Dave Craggs [Maver] nipping into second with a shallow caster based 85-10-0 of carp to 5lbs and bream to 2lbs at Larch peg 16. Paul Evans [P I Bold] scraped into third with 84-7-0 from Chestnut 21,         just edging out Graham Roberts [PI Bold] on 84-2-0 at Chestnut 39.

Shallow caster was favourite on Saturday, giving the top two weights, with the best falling to Ken Humphreys [Oswestry]. He offered the bait at peg 16 on the Sycamore to attract a catch of carp to 6lbs and bream to 2lbs which gave a final tally of 106-3-0.

Rob Hancox had his second trip to the prize table when his 79-7-0 of carp to 7lbs and barbel to 3lbs handed him the runner up spot at Sycamore 13. Ralph Johnson [PI Bold] topped the Chestnut card with a level  74-0-0 to claim third at Chestnut 39, and Dave Lloyd [Maver] was only four ounces behind on  73-12-0 at Sycamore 45.

Andy Kyte [Middle Severn Angling] recorded the top catch of the week to win on Sunday, but it was a close call, as he was only one fish in front of the runner up.

Pegged on the Willows Pool, at peg 4, Andy used caster at 5 metres to make contact with ghosties and barbel to 5lbs as he put together a total weight of 136-1-0.

On the other side of the pool, at peg 16,Dave Brown [Maver] worked with caster too, picking off carp to 6lbs and barbel to 4lbs on the 4 metre line, but finished one fish short as the scales settled at 131-12-0. Rob Hancox added a third to his first and second places when he weighed in the top catch on the Oak, 109-9-0 at peg 24, and an Ash Pool best of 104-15-0 from peg 7 handed fourth to Shane Rogers [Oak Ang Cent].
