Peg 26 on the Beech Pool responded to the shallow maggot tactics employed by Richard, who had carp to 7lbs eager to snap up his bait, which he also worked down the edge for a haul of 153-10-0.

Dave Lloyd [Maver] had carp to 6lbs on maggot at 6 metres and in the side at Beech 11 to weigh 121-14-0 for second, ahead of Terry Edwards [Swan Elite] whose 112-6-0 came from peg 5. Clive Wynn [Tri West] completed the action with 105-3-0 for fourth at peg 20.
