Up at corner peg 4 Dave Hailey [PI Bold] opted for a shallow pellet approach, and had mostly carp from 1lb to 4lbs, but also included some tench of 4lbs in a net of 128-1-0.

Last Sundays winner Gareth Emlyn [Oakengates Ang Cent] made it two Thursday thirds on the trot when he recorded a level 121-0-0 at peg 25, with last Wednesdays winner Bob Tromans [Fiery Holes] completing the frame with 117-2-0 at peg 13.

Maggot and pellet also worked for Shane Rogers [Oak Ang Cent] when he fished it to each side of peg 13 on the Sycamore, where carp to 8lbs with barbel to 3lbs added up to 101-9-0.

Shakespeare’s Mark Taylor collected third from Sycamore 35 where he had 94-10-0 to finish ahead of Colin Reynolds [Bilston Ang Cent] on 90-11-0 at peg 24.

Dave Hailey [PI Bold] swapped his mid-week second for a week-end first on Sunday, when he made the most of island peg 23 on the Chestnut. Fishing shallow pellet again, Dave contacted carp to 7lbs on his way to his 131-1-0 winner.

Round at peg 30 Andy Kyte [Maver Sonubaits] worked pellet and maggot, shallow and down the edge, to nick second by just over a pound. His net of 120-12-0 included carp to 8lbs, and held off a challenge from Mark Taylor, who had to settle for third again when he was credited with a Sycamore best of 119-10-0 at peg 18.
