Mick Jameson moved up to second by recording an Ash pool best of 39-5-0 at 16. Mick’s catch came to pellet at 5 metres and consisted of carp from 1lb to 3lbs.

Over on peg 10 Keith Powell worked maggot at 7 metres and close in  for 48-12-0 of carp to 5lbs to claim second.

The Sunday match gave a close frame with less than 4lbs between first and fourth. First went to Eric Bancroft [Rod & Gun] at corner peg 50 on the Sycamore, where pellet at 10 metres put 44-5-0 of carp to 5lbs on the scales for victory.
