BOLDINGS REPORT  10-7-13.

Carl Foster [PI Boldings] took the honours in Wednesday open at Boldings Pools, when Sycamore peg 24 came good again. Pellet and corn at 5 metres and close in returned 97-13-0 of carp and bream. Along at corner peg 18 Phil Shaw [Lower Hill] took a level 76-0-0 on shallow pellet to finish second, just beating Tony Foster [PI Bold] on 74-11-0 at peg 33. At peg 13 Stuart Aston [Swan] had 74-6-0 in 4th.

Sycamore 4 responded to pellet waggler for Jeff Harston [Tricast Weston] on Thursday, with carp to 7lbs providing a 105-0-0 top score. Diagonally opposite the winner, at corner peg 44Paul Evans [PI Bold] worked maggot and caster in the side for a mix of carp and barbel weighing 92-6-0.

Chestnut peg 26 provided third for Eric Bancroft [Rod & Gun] when he scaled 82-10-0 to hold off Colin Reynolds [Bilston AC] who had 78-5-0 at Chestnut 18.

The Saturday frame was a tight one when Graham Palmer [Fitters] had less than a pound to spare in top spot. Sycamore 18 featured again to give Graham his victory, and 50lbs of his 87-0-0 total, consisted of barbel, with samples to 3lbs joining carp to 7lbs, all taken close in on caster.

Mitch Davidson [Colmic] opted for shallow pellet at peg 10, and needed just one more fish to have snatched first place, when he finished on 86-1-0. Just behind Mitch, on 85-6-0 was Josh Humphries [ABC] at peg 2 and at peg 6 Dave Matson [Rod &Gun] ended on 80-3-0 in 4th.

Weights shot up on Sunday when the Beech Pool gave the top weight for Gareth Emlyn [O’gates Ang Cent]. Maggot, fished to each side of peg 18 brought in carp to 8lbs and bream to 3lbs, giving Gareth figures of 156-10-0.

At Willows peg 18, last weeks double winner Andy Kyte [Maver Sonubaits] offered pellet up in the water as well as down the side, to finish a close second with 151-3-0 of carp to 7lbs and barbel to 3lbs. Colin Wozek [matrix TA] claimed third by scaling 140-6-0 at Willows 5 and Mitch Davidson was in the mix again with 102-9-0 at Willows 13.
