Boldings report

 

 

BOLDINGS REPORT  31-7-12.

 

          At Boldings Pools Colin Reynolds started the week with top weight of the week, winning the Monday Affordable match, held on the Chestnut Pool, with 140-6-0.

          He was on peg 7, and built his weight with carp to 7lbs and bream to 2lbs, which he caught on pellet down the side.

          Phil Shaw (Lower Hill) fished up in the water with pellet at corner peg 40 and had all small carp in the 1lb to 3lb bracket, to finish second on 134-0-0. At peg 21 Graham Evason (PI Boldings) had 97-9-0 for third and Chris Holmes (Middle Severn Angling) collected 4th with his 92-0-0 at peg 13.

 

          Josh Humphries (ABC) opted to fish  corn at Sycamore 21 on Wednesday, which was appreciated by carp to 9lbs, which Josh tempted from each side of the peg, to put together 104-11-0 for victory.

          Over in the corner at peg 30, Dave Lloyd (Tipton) worked maggot and corn in the margins to net 98-9-0 of carp to 7lbs for second.

          Clive Wynn (Tricast Weston) had best weight from the Larch, 83-6-0 from peg 15, to finish third for the second Wednesday running, and at Larch 22 Pete Ricketts (New Willenhall) had 73-5-0 in 4th.

 

          Howard Williams (Weston Pools) won from Chestnut 26 on Thursday by fishing pellet to the island, and on the close in line. Carp to 8lbs responded for figures of 98-10-0.

          Stafford rod John Wild had a mix of carp to 6lbs and bream to 3lbs on pellet, fished each side of Chestnut 19 for a level 84-0-0. At Chestnut 10, Steve Owen (Mid Leisure) scaled 75-8-0 to pick up third, with 4th going to an Oak Pool best of 53-11-0 from Andy Williams (Vespe).

 

          Jason Elwell (Phil’s Tackle) won the Saturday open on the Sycamore when he posted 129-12-0 at peg 16, not one of the regular winning pegs. Pellet and corn, fished close in put carp to 9lbs in the net for Jason.

          Les Thompson (Matrix Bait Tech) was across from the winner on peg 21, and had a busy time with small carp on shallow pellet, building a runner up weight of 112-3-0. Andy Bayliss-Kyte (Maver Sonubaits) claimed third from peg 3 where he scaled 88-1-0, leaving Colin Reynolds (Bilston Ang Cent) to finish off the top four with 67-13-0 at peg 36.

 

          Andy Bayliss-Kyte stepped up to top spot on Sunday with a maggot attack from peg 31 on the Oak. Fishing into the corner and along the far bank, Andy picked off carp to 6lbs and barbel to 2lbs on his way to 83-8-0.

          David Emlyn (Oak AC) also offered maggot at peg 5 on the Willows to take carp to 5lbs and barbel to 2lbs, with a third of his 78-4-0 consisting of barbel.
