Boldings report

BOLDINGS REPORT 3/8/10.

Peg 8 on the Sycamore Pool featured in both of the week-end opens at Boldings Pools, and on Saturday Dave Barnard (Rod & Gun) picked up a win from the peg. Dave tackled it pellet at 5 metres and close in to pick off carp to 8lbs on his way to a victorious 111-8-0.

Mick Jameson (Mid Leisure) offered pellet at 4 metres and in the side at the other point peg, 13, for 104-11-0, which included fish to 7lbs. Scott Doodson (Maver Sonubaits) had 84-4-0 from corner peg 4 for third and Ralph Johnson (Bilston Ang Cent) headed the chestnut card to finish 4th on 81-9-0.

Sean Barber (Maver Sonubaits) made it three wins in a row on Sunday, and for the second time in two weeks, relegated Dave Matson (Rod & Gun) to second place.

Having won from the Chestnut last week, Sean moved on to the Sycamore Pool this week after drawing peg 50, not one of the noted pegs. He soon found fish though, using shallow fished pellet, and built a winning weight of 113-0-0 with carp to 8lbs and bream to 3lbs.

Dave Matson drew the same peg he was second to Sean from last Sunday, peg 8 on the Sycamore, and fished corn and pellet to each side for 98-7-0 of carp to 7lbs and bream to 3lbs.

Pete Plant (Maver) was best on the Oak Pool and third overall with 83-7-0 from peg 11 and Tim Treherne (Oakengates Ang Cent) was 4th on 64-9-0 at Sycamore 30, four ounces in front of Dave Hailey (OB Wolves) at Oak 5 where he weighed 64-5-0.
