BOLDINGS REPORT 9/2/10.

Gary Morris (OB Wolves) consolidated his two frame placings at Boldings Pools last week by moving up to top spot with the best weight of the week to win this weeks Wednesday open. Last weeks winner Pete Ricketts (New Willenhall) collected second this time when he put a Sycamore top score of 58-7-0 on the scales at peg 18. Pete had carp to 4lbs, close in on pellet.

Third came from back on the Chestnut when Ted Ecclestone (Stafford) popped 35-14-0 on the scales at peg 16, then came a drop to 22-7-0 from Howard Williams (Weston Pools) at |Sycamore peg 34.

The following day Pete Ricketts stepped up a place to claim the winners purse after drawing Larch peg 15. This time he went out to 14 metres as well as fishing in the side, using pellet and maggot to attract carp to 6lbs, which gave him a final tally of 51-6-0, and plenty to spare over second man Carl Foster (OBW). Carl was next door at peg 17 and had his fish, carp to 4lbs, on pellet at 8 metres, finishing on 35-4-0.
