BOLDINGS REPORT 21/9/10.

Carl Foster (OB Wolves) was in winning mode at Boldings Pools again on Monday, and posted another best weight of the week after drawing peg 11 on the Beech Pool. Pellet and corn, fished into the side to the right of the peg and into the corner on the left found carp to 9lbs ready to have go to give a winning total of 131-12-0.

Almost opposite Carl, Martin Davenport (Maver Total Angling) found carp to 8lbs on pellet and corn at peg 16, and topped the ton with 101-13-0 for second. Andy Williams (Vespe Total Angling) was on the point at peg 7 where he scaled 88-4-0 to pick up third ahead of Eric Bancroft (Rod & Gun) on 69-15-0 at peg 23.

Gary Morris (OB Wolves) found carp to 7lbs and bream to 2lbs on the 5 metre line at peg 43 on the Sycamore on Wednesday to win with a pellet fed 88-6-0.

Mick Jameson (Mid Leisure) finished second for the second Wednesday on the trot when his pellet at 3 metres on peg 33 put a mixture of carp to 8lbs and a lot of small barbel on the scales for 67-14-0. Third went to Bob Tromans (Fiery Holes) on 62-14-0 and 59-10-0 gave Dave Barnard (R&G) fourth.

Eric Bancroft (R&G) framed for the second time this week and made it two Thursday wins in a row when he took the honours from peg 38 on the Chestnut. Corn and pellet at 5 metres and close in gave a mainly carp catch, backed up with some skimmers, for 85-6-0.

Andy Williams moved up a place from his Monday third to take second this time. He led a trio of close weights from the Sycamore with 78-11-0 which fell to corn fished to each side of peg 49. Colin Reynolds (Bilston Ang Cent) was just behind on 76-15-0 at peg 25 and dave Barnard collected another 4th when he scaled 76-2-0 at peg 22.

Andy Bayliss-Kyte (Maver Sonubaits) took over top spot on Saturday, winning from the Willows Pool. He was on peg 19 and a switched between 5 metres and 11 metres to find ghosties to 4lbs with pellet for his 78-4-0 winner.

On the other side of the pool, at peg 5, John Francis (R&G) improved on his 4th place last Saturday to take second this time. He netted carp to 8lbs together with small barbel to end the day on 61-10-0. Danny Boden (Oakengates Ang Cent) had the top catch from the Chestnut, 60-13-0 to finish third overall and Colin Reynolds was in the prizes again, his 53-12-0 being just enough for fourth.

There was another victory for Sean Barber (Maver Sonubaits) on Sunday when his shallow fished pellet at peg 24 on the Sycamore attracted the attention of carp to 7lbs to give a return of 77-6-0.

Next to Sean, on peg 22, Mike Philbin (Tricast Weston Pools) worked caster and pellet at 7 metres for a mix of carp and skimmers for 58-13-0 and second spot. Third went to Ken Humphries (ABC Baits) at peg 30 with 51-15-0 with Mick Keene (Tricast Weston) a close 4th on 50-11-0 at peg 21.
