BOLDINGS REPORT
Eric Bancroft (Rod& Gun) started the week at Boldings with a win on the Monday open, when the Stock Pool gave the top three weights. Eric was on peg 4 and fished shallow with maggot to bag carp to 6lbs for 68-10-0, which put him well out of reach of the chasing pack.
Best of these was
Pete Ricketts (New Willenhall) won a subdued Wednesday match with 38-11-0 from peg 14 on the Ash. Pellet at 8 metres and in the side brought in carp to 5lbs.
Mick Jameson (Mid Leisure) was on Ash 16 and had carp to 3lbs on pellet at 4 metres to claim second with a level 25-0-0. Third man Stuart Aston (Swan JT) was best on the Hawthorn with
Alan Jones (Deggys) got the upper hand on Thursday, taking top spot from peg 34 on the Sycamore. Winning with 63-11-0, which fell to pellet at 8 metres and corn in the side.
Eric Bancroft was in the prizes again, picking up second thanks to 45-6-0 from Sycamore 24. Dave Barnard (Rod & Gun) was top man on the Chestnut, taking third overall with 360109, and Mick Jameson framed for the second time, scaling 35-14-0.
Neil Turner (Fosters Tipton) made Stock peg 4 a winner again on Saturday by fishing maggot into the corner and picking off carp to 6lbs for a 49-9-0 total.
Colin Reynolds had another pick, collecting second this time with a Beech best of 46-0-0. Richard Duke (WB Clarke) scaled 41-2-0 at Beech 23 for third and Tim Probert OBW) had a Hawthorn best of 30-13-0 in 4th.
Beech peg 32 featured again on Sunday when Rino Stanko took the top weight of the week at the complex, 88-4-0, made up with carp to 8lbs, taken on corn, close in.
Gary Morris had his second runner up, netting 75-5-0 of carp 8lbs from point peg 7, using pellet at 5 metres and close in. Alan Naylor (Oakengates/Antbait) had 55-1-0 for third, leaving Mark Johnson (Maver) on 48-5-0 to complete the frame, and the weeks proceedings.
