Having finished second on Saturday at Boldings Pools last week, Harry Colley (OB Wolves) moved up a gear to win this week, taking the best weight of the week to finish first. Drawn on peg 20 on the Sycamore, Harry worked with meat and pellet, close in, to target carp to 9lbs and bream to 4lbs.
Just along the bank at peg 23 Richard Lawson (Maver Midlands) also topped the 100lbs mark, scaling 102-11-0 for second. He caught on shallow pellet in open water and on corn close in, with carp to 8lbs making up his catch. Third placed Mal Kitson (Rod & Gun) headed the Chestnut Pool card with 97-9-0 at peg 21, just pipping John Francis (R&G) on 96-8-0 at peg 18 on the same pool. Best on the Larch was another Rod & Gun man, Andy Bayliss-Kyte who 5th overall with 94-8-0 from Larch 15.
Tony Foster (OB Wolves) made it two Wednesday wins on the trot when he started the week at Boldings with a win from peg 20 on the Beech, where shallow fished pellet gave a return of 73-1-0, which put him clear of Mark Mountford (Shifnal) on 55-6-0 at Beech 29. Mark fished paste at 5 metres and corn close in. Saturdays winner Harry Colley was third with an Ash pool best of 49-13-0 at peg 5 and Jason Atwell (OBW) had 47-1-0 at Ash 9 for 4th.
Howard Williams (Weston Pools) grabbed the winners purse on Thursday with a shallow pellet approach at peg 2 on the Sycamore, with carp to 10lbs adding up to 84-9-0.
Bob Tromans (Fiery Holes) corn and pellet for a mix of carp and bream for 73-7-0 at Sycamore 22 to take second, Ed Turner (OBW) was third with 56-3-0 at peg 42 and Matt Stobbs (R&G) was just behind Ed on 54-11-0 at peg 36.
Colin Reynolds (Bilston Ang Cent) added another win to his list on Sunday, netting 74-7-0 at Sycamore 37 using corn and maggot close in for carp to 8lbs.
Matt Stobbs framed again, moving up to second with a corn and pellet based 63-15-0 mix of carp and bream at Sycamore 32. Dave Hailey (OBW) had an Oak Pool best of 59-0-0 for third and Gareth Emlyn (Oakengates Ang Cent) was best on the Ash with a fourth overall 55-12-0.
