Maver backed Dave Brown enjoyed another successful week at Boldings Pools with three frame appearances, which included the top weight of the week.

Wednesday was the quietist day, if you can call a frame with three sixty pound catches quiet. Winner was Gavin Russon (MB Angling) with a level 67-0-0 from peg 11 on the Larch Pool, a catch which came to shallow fished maggot on 12 metre pole.

Dave Brown paid his first visit of the week to the frame by taking the top catch on the on the Chestnut. He fished corn down the shelf, and maggot up in the water at peg 36 for 64-0-0. Mick Jameson (Middy ML) followed closely at peg 30 on the same pool, scaling 63-5-0, then it was back to the Larch for a 4th placed 57-9-0 from Graham Lewis (Shrewsbury).

Weights climbed on Thursday when the Oak and Ash pools were in use, and the top three all beat the ton. Brian Clarke (BCUK) led the way from Oak peg 24, where a corn and pellet attack saw carp from 1lb to 9lbs picking up the bait close in to give Brian a 140-4-0 total at the final whistle.

Mel Kitson (Rod & Gun) put corn, pellet and maggot to use at peg 14 on the Ash to find carp and bream for 107-9-0 to beat Dave Barnard (Maver Wolves) to second. Dave was on peg 13 on the Oak and finished a fish short on 103-11-0.. Fourth came from the Ash when Colin Reynolds scaled 95-2-0 at peg 16.
