The match was staged on the Ash and Hawthorn pools, with Ash peg 18 providing Ralph with his haul, which consisted of carp to 7lbs, which he enticed with shallow caster.
A pellet, corn and meat bait combination accounted for the top catch from the Hawthorn, 112-8-0 of carp to 8lbs, which put Harry Colley [PI Bold] into second at peg 9. Third also came from the Hawthorn when Colin Reynolds [Bilston Ang Cent] handed 103-8-0 over to the scales at peg 3.
