Boldings report    10-8-16.

There was no hanging about by Harry Colley [PI Boldings] at Boldings Pools this week, he set the pace with the top catch of week to win the Monday open from peg 5 on the Beech Pool.

Following on from two frame finishes last week, Harry worked with corn, pellet and meat, which he presented close in to tempt carp to 9lbs and barbel to 3lbs to build a haul of 195-0-0.

On the Hawthorn Pool, at peg 5 again, Last Mondays winner Stephan Davies [Shrewsbury] fished to the island, and on the close in line to make his runner up catch, 105-5-0, which was made up with carp in the 6lbs bracket. It was the Oak Pool which provided the third placed catch for Mick Keene [Tricast Weston] who weighed 92-14-0 at Oak peg 27, then it was back to the Beech for fourth placed Danny Boden [Oakengates Ang Cent] who scaled 90-4-0 at peg 7.

Peg 47 on the Sycamore proved it's consistency with a winning weight for Paul Roberts [PI Bold] on Wednesday when his caster, fished at 4 metres, and close in down the side found carp to 8lbs to give a final total of 118-6-0.

The race for the rest of the frame placings produced a tie for second, with Kel Emlyn [Oak Ang Cent] and Dave Brown [Maver] both scaling 89-9-0.           Things were a little slower in the sultry Saturday weather and 92-4-0 of carp to 6lbs on close in pellet and corn gave Tony Foster [PI Bold] a winning margin of nearly 10lbs. Tony made his catch at corner peg 3 on the Beech Pool.

Over at peg 20 on the same pool Les Thompson [Matrix] opted for caster and maggot down the edge and at 5 metres, and netted 82-11-0 of carp to 7lbs to finish in second.
