BOLDINGS REPORT
Just over a pound separated first and second in the Wednesday open at Boldings Pools this week, with match winner Chris Hill [Mosella] edging it from peg 5 on the Hawthorn. Carp from 1lb to 3lbs, caught on pellet at 13 metres, added up to 38-7-0.
At Ash peg 16, Phil Shaw [PI Boldings] had his fish, carp to 4lbs, on maggot on the close in line to weigh 37-3-0.
On the other side of the Ash, at peg 5, Steve Owen [Wolves] put his name on third by scaling 33-10-0, and exactly a pound behind him came Paul Weaver [PI Bold] on 32-10-0 at Ash 14.
The Ash provided Howard Williams [Tricast Weston] with a win and top weight of the week on Thursday, when almost half of his 54-3-0 consisted of roach. The rest were carp of around 3lbs, which, like the roach came to maggot, fished down the side at peg 20.
