Johnny Arthur [Maver Midlands] found Chestnut 30 to be still on winning form the day after Boxing Day, but had to go further out to find the fish, and offered maggot at 12 metres. Carp and barbel responded again to give figures of 66-12-0.
Eric Bancroft picked up another second place, and was only one fish behind the winner with 63-8-0 at peg 32, where he had carp to 6lbs and bream to 2lbs on maggot.
