On the Sycamore on Wednesday there was an even closer finish when Stuart Aston [Swan JT] had only 11 ounces to spare when he scaled 35-12-0 at peg 39. Corn at 12 metres put carp to 5lbs on the scales for Stuart.

Saturday saw Pete Ricketts [New Willenhall] collecting the winners purse after he netted 32-3-0 of carp to 5lbs using corn and pellet at 10 metres on peg 33 on the Sycamore. A Middle top score of 28-13-0 from peg 10 handed Clive Wynn his second frame placing and on a hard day
Top weight of the week went to Simon Richardson [Ironbridge Tackle & Bait] on Sunday, when the Ash Pool gave the top three weights. Simon was drawn on peg 14, and operated with corn and maggot to net carp to 5lbs together with the odd bream for a total of 54-5-0.
Along at peg 20 Mark Taylor [Shakespeare] finished a fish behind the winner on 52-11-0, while between the top two, at peg 16, Scott Doodson had his second framing of the week, claiming third this time with 48-14-0. Top man on the Beech Pool was Martin Harrell [Maver] whose 45-0-0 from peg 18 put him into 4th overall.
