Corn and pellet fished to the stumps and in the margins at Oak peg 27 gave Colin Wozak (
Richard Duke (BAS) had carp to 6lbs on close fished corn at peg 31 for 75-3-0. Third from peg 22 was Godfrey Wood (Total Angling) on 66-15-0 and at peg 13 Jason Atwell (Kingswinford) scaled 57-13-0 in 4th.
Preston Innovations Boldings rods took the top three places on Wednesday when Phil Foster won with the top weight of the week, 114-6-0. The catch came from Beech peg 5 and consisted of carp to 8lbs caught on corn at 5 metres and down the edge.
Phil Rhodes had top score from the Ash 89-12-0 for second. He caught on pellet, fished shallow and close in. At Beech 16 Carl Foster had 89-5-0 for third and at Ash 14 Phil Shaw (Lower Hill) scaled 72-1-0 in 4th.
Howard Williams (Weston Pools) claimed the coin on Thursday from peg 34 on the Sycamore, where pellet and corn, close in found carp to double figures for a return of 101-2-0.
Fellow Weston rod dave Jones picked up second with a mix of carp and barbel on pellet and corn from peg 39 where the scales recorded 86-8-0. Carl Foster was third again, this time with 63-3-0 from peg 4 and 11ounces behind him on 62-8-0 was Chris Hyde (Sedgeley) at peg 13.
Danny Boden (Oak AC) missed out on a ton up win by one ounce on Saturday when nets added up to 99-15-0 at Beech 32. carp to 8lbs came to corn in the margins to give Danny his weight.
Ky Faulkener (Oak AC) wasn’t far behind at Beech 5 where his pellet and corn put 94-4-0 on the scales.
Sean Barber topped the Ash card to finish third on 56-11-0 at peg 3 and back on the Beech Scott Doodson (Preston Innov) had 54-4-0 in 4th.
Ed Turner (PI Bold) stepped up from second on the Sunday open last week to first this week, finishing just short of the weeks top weight on 113-11-0. Corn and pellet, fished to each side of Sycamore 49 tempted carp to 9lbs.
At peg 21 Gary Morris (PI Bold) included carp to 10lbs and bream to 3lbs in his runner up 107-6-0, taken on pellet at 5 metres. Dave Bowater (PI Bold) just edged third by two ounces by scaling 59-15-0 at peg 46 while Phil Rhodes made the frame again with 59-13-0.
